What to Wear: A Cozy New Years Eve at Home

There’s no thing as too much sparkle on New Year’s Eve.

After the Christmas rush, there’s nothing I like better than getting cozy and staying in to watch the ball drop.  It’s so relaxing to stay at home and I love the idea of making the night extra special by dressing up a bit.  I’ll be ordering in my favorite Chinese takeout and serving it off of vintage china dishes to make it a bit more festive.

Just because you’re staying in doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice on style.  Everyday basics, like the t-shirt and cropped drawstring pants, are instantly elevated when they’re in sequins and velvet.  Pair the look with a leopard mule and a statement earring for maximum stay-at-home chic.  You’ll instantly look pulled together and will be comfortable too.  I’ve chosen some of my favorite festive picks below for some inspiration.  Cheers to the New Year!

Michael Michael Kors Crewneck Sequined Crop TopI love the boxy silhouette of this.  It would also look great with jeans tapered at the ankle.

Anthropologie Nicola Velvet Pants - I am loving these!  The velvet makes them so luxurious.  For an everyday look, I’d pair them with a chunky knit cream sweater and a distressed ankle boot.

The Remi Mule in Leopard Calf Hair by MadewellThese add instant glamour to any look.  The perfect shoe to transition into spring.

SUGARFIX by BaubleBar Crystal Studs Tassel EarringsThese are the perfect party earrings-whether you’re staying in or going out.

I’m really looking forward to ringing in the New Year and seeing what 2019 has in store for the blog.  I can’t wait to share more of my favorite places, faces and things with you all.  Here’s to new beginnings!
