It’s never too late- never too late to start over, never too late to be happy.- Jane Fonda
One of our favorite over 50 style icons is the legendary Jane Fonda. At 77, Jane is more relevant than ever. Her style is classic, refined and always on point whether she’s walking a red carpet or the streets of Manhattan. She favors timeless pieces like white shirts, well cut trousers and signature pieces of statement jewelry.
We recently came across these gorgeous photos of her on dujour.com and thought that she looked sexier and more confident than ever in them.
With her innate sense of style and confidence, Jane is easily one of our favorite role models for how to age well. She stays engaged with life and is busier than ever having just completed her new Netflix series Grace and Frankie which she stars in with Lily Tomlin.
The show is about two 70 year old women whose husbands fall in love with each other and want to get married. Jane plays Grace, an uptight country club blonde, while Lily plays Frankie, a free-spirited hippie who teaches art to ex-convicts. We’ve been watching a few episodes every night and absolutely love it!
Grace and Frankie is all about women finding and reinventing themselves at a time when life is supposed to be easy and all figured out. Jane and Lily have great chemistry and the show is, at times, laugh out loud hilarious.
Brooklyn Decker and June Raphael star as Grace’s daughters who are grappling with the woes of married and single life all while trying to deal with their parent’s situation. We only have a few episodes left and can’t wait to see how everything turns out for Grace and Frankie.
Jane Fonda is the ultimate mother of reinvention. She’s proved time and again that’s there more to life than just one act. As she says, “…it’s never too late to be happy”.
