Get the Look: Christie Brinkley’s Hampton’s Home

Some people think happiness is a luxury, but it’s a necessity.  You need to make space for it in your life.- Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley recently put her stunning Hamptons Home, aptly named Tower Hill, on the market now that her children are grown and living in New York City.  And like so many other empty nesters, she is downsizing and has just bought a posh New York City penthouse in Tribeca.  I can’t even imagine having this kind of lifestyle, can you?

Even her dog is perfect!! How does she do it?!

Let’s put the envy aside for a moment and talk design.  I absolutely love the homey, bohemian chic vibe of Tower Hill.  Even though it’s nearly 9,000 square feet, Christie has made it incredibly cozy with overstuffed sofas, drippy chandeliers, shell art and lots of animal print.

She has an incredible knack for mixing different periods and cultures into her design.  I also love how personal everything is.  You can definitely tell that she did the decorating herself and didn’t hire a designer (not that there’s anything wrong with that!).

One of the best things about this home is that it’s so reflective of Christie and all that she loves.  From her collection of Eiffel Towers, she’s a self professed Francophile, to the shell art around the fireplace, that she designed herself, nearly everything tells a story.

Christie in her art studio being fabulous, of course.

And while most of us don’t have Christie’s budget, there are still ways to incorporate her style into your home.  I’ve rounded up a few pieces with an eclectic, bohemian feel that would look great in any space.  And the best part is that they can all be purchased online.

I can’t wait to see what Christie does next in this new chapter of her life.  Hopefully, she’ll give us a home tour too.
